One Word: Paper.
On reason: Plastic will produce 56,000,000,000,000 kg of carbon emission by 2050.
Environmentalists and scientists are of the opinion that recyclable paper bags will reduce
world pollution, waste management, and global warming to 1/3rd if it gradually replaces
the plastic packaging industry over the next decade.
The packing consumption in India has increased by 200% in the past decade, at an
average of 8.6kg/person/annum. The predictions are for over 20kg/p/a which translates to
300% growth in the industry.
Paper has already taken over 70% of packing and a complete takeover is predicted in the
next decade.
